No One Like You - PSC57

Welcome to my Wednesday and another Perfect Sentiments Challenge!

Our theme this week is to Recognize Someone. A major holiday just passed where we give thanks for all that we have and for all those we love. But, I bet there is someone out there, who could use a little recognition simply because they mean a lot to you. Maybe it is someone who provides a great service to you or your family but there isn't a holiday to recognize them.  Create a card with a sentiment that recognizes someone special to you.

Our Sponsor this week is Pattie's Creations

You Warm My Heart

Happy Thanksgiving Week!  Are you busy getting all the preparations made for Turkey Day on Thursday?   I'm previewing a couple of things these days before to see if they'll work for the family.  I don't have to cook the turkey.  My sister has Thanksgiving at her house with all her family and then me and my daughter and her family all go there.  It's a big family affair.

Well, today is Tuesday and time for another {Pin}spirational Challenge.  First I'll show you the photo that is our inspiration for this week.
Isn't that just a lovely scene.  It really looks like peace and tranquility and lovely Fall colors in the background.

And our wonderful sponsor this week is Fresh Brewed Designs.  Check out the store and see all the fabulous digis/stamps she has.

For my card I was inspired by the teacup first since our sponsor is Fresh Brewed.  ;)  Then I picked up some of the background color in my striped paper and thought that the image I used portrayed the peace and tranquility in the inspiration photo.

Button Bear comes to Teapot Tuesday

No, it isn't Tuesday, but I didn't get a chance to post this card on Tuesday, so here it is today.  If you're not familiar with Teapot Tuesday, you can find out about it HERE

This week our cards are going to the sister-in-law of one of the Teapotters and also a very dear friend of mine, Soni.  Soni's SIL is going through some major health issues but through it all she keeps her faith and a has a good spirit about her.  MaryLou loves Teddy bears and the colors blue and purple.  If you'd like to join in and find out more about MaryLou and the Destination Station for this week, click HERE!

My card that I'm sending off to MaryLou is this one created with an old retired, but well loved Stampin Up stamp set.
Do you remember Button Bear?  It's one of those stamp sets that you just never can part with.
Materials Used:
  • Images - Bear, hat, teapot, teacup, butterflies, and sentiment all from Stampin Up Button Bear set
  • Ink - Memento Black

I almost forgot to mention that I actually hand made those flowers using the MFT Mini Rolled Roses Dies.  One of the blog groups that I belong to - Stamp Addicts - has a challenge to make a use a hand made flower on a project.  It was a job rolling those up so they didn't slip out and unroll, but once I get the hang of it, I'll be able to make a lot of my own flowers.  I have some other flower dies that I want to use also.

Santa Claus is Coming To Town - PSC56

Hello again!  You'll be hearing a lot from me this week.  It's a busy one with lots to get done.  Today I've got the Perfect Sentiment challenge going.  This week our Theme is ANYTHING GOES!  Don't you just love that one.  The Twist is that you need to use paper scraps to make your background - any way you want to do it.  Hit that stash of scraps you have - you know you want to use them up.

Our great sponsor this week is Shelly's Images.  Make sure you hop over to her store and check out what she's got to offer.  Fun stuff.
The prize this week is one free digi image from her store.

For my card I decided to go with the Christmas theme.  Trying to get some more of those holiday cards finished.

I love Christmas music.  I could listen to it all year long.  Can't you just hear it - "Jolly old St. Nicholas, Lean your ear this way.  Don't you tell a single soul what I'm going to say."  or "You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not shout, I'm telling you why.  Santa Claus is coming to town."   LOL!  Love it.
Materials Used:
  • Image - My Favorite Things - Santa Baby
  • Sentiment - Designer Paper
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - Cherry Cobbler; Express It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - Stash of scraps
  • Accessories - Flowers and Leaves - Prima; Glitter Brad - stash; Snowflake Charm - Oriental Trading; Baker's Twine - Stampin Up.

That's it for today.  Now for some additional inspiration, hop on over to the Perfect Sentiment Challenge blog and check out what the rest of the DT has been up to.  Then get your crafting hat on and your scraps and tools out and get creative and post your own card using Mr. Linky.  You could be the big prize winner this week or picked as one of the Top 3.  Good luck!

Mom and Colt

I said I'd be back and here I am with another post.  This time with a card.  The card is made with supplies I received from one of the players in our Monthly Challenge Swap, Shell.  Shell and her daughter Jaydin are into horses, so of course she had to include images having to do with horses.
The image is Mare & Colt from Stampabilties.  I used Stampin Up Creamy Caramel for the base of the card and also for the mats.  The brown paper is Brown Distressed from Glitz It Now; and the Cowgirl paper is from The Paper Studio.  The star brads are from Spare Parts.  I used Copic markers E00 and E01 to color in the horses to make them look like Palominos.  The sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up stamp set for birthdays.

That's it.  It was nice to do just a simple card.  Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments.  I appreciate each one of them.

I am submitting this card for the following challenges:

Catch the Bug - Things with Tails
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Anything Goes
Clearly Inspired - Critters

Follow Up on Winners

Hi friends.  No card this time, but just wait, I have one in the works to get posted soon.  This is just a follow up on the winners of my Birthday Blog Hop since I have not heard from any of the daily winners. ?????????  Not sure what that's all about.  But since the deadline has passed, I've generated a new winner for each day.  They are Brandy - Day One; Pia - Day Two; Melissa - Day Three; and Athina - Day Four.  I need each of you to send me your snail mail address so I can send you your prize.  You have one week to claim your prize.  If I don't hear from you, then I guess I'll put them away and wait until the next time.

Thank you for visiting and playing along.  Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.

Joy

Can you believe in less than 3 weeks it will be Thanksgiving!  And you know what comes after Thanksgiving - besides Black Friday!  ;)  Yep, before long it's going to be Christmas.  Today I have another Christmas card to share with you for our {Pin}spirational Challenge.  I might just get all mine done.  This one is pretty easy and you could make a lot of these without much trouble.

First of all, our Sponsor this week is Beccy's Place.
And, as always, we have a photo for your inspiration.

Yummy!  Looks almost good enough to eat.  I am a real chocolaholic!  I guess it's time to show you my card for this week.
Materials Used:

  • Image - shown above.  I didn't want to use the whole thing, so I just cute the middle row out of the picture and then cut them all apart.
  • Sentiment - from the image.
  • Cardstock - Stamping Up Ruby Red; Xpress it Blending Card
  • Pattern Paper - Basic Gray - Jovial- Pomegranate
  • Accessories - ribbon from my stash; Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts; Doily from my stash
  • Copic markers - C0; E13, E23, E37; G21, G07, G19; R22, R27, R37; Y000, Y13, Y18
This time I started with the layout already planned out. I knew I wanted to use the 3 separate images.

Now it's your turn.  Check out all the awesome cards made by the fabulous DT and then get your crafting materials together and make a card for our challenge.  You could be the prize winner this week.  You can find links to all the blogs over there on the left sidebar.  Don't forget to go to the {Pin}spirational Challenge blog and link up the card you made.  And don't forget that Deanne still has a Design Call up until December 11.  If you'd like to be a part of this awesome team, sign up and let her know.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your comment.  I do appreciate each one.  Hope you are having a blessed week.

Winners! Winners! Winners!

Hi everyone, here is the post that you've all been waiting for.  First of all, I want to thank all of you who took part in the Perfect Sentiment Birthday Blog Hop and came and commented on my challenges whether it was just one day or all four of them!  You all did such an amazing job with your cards.  I loved looking through all of them and even got a few ideas.  ;)

First of all, here is a photo of the prizes that I'm giving away on a daily basis, so there will be one winner each day who will win one of these stamps.
There were 12 entries for Day 1 - Happy Birthday/Anniversary and the winner picked using Random Generator is:  No. 4 - Crystal who said: "Cute card! That girl is so sweet looking." and this is the card she posted.

It does say Happy Birthday inside.  LOL!  Yes, she has a slightly twisted sense of humor.

Day 2 was our Bingo day where you had to pick 3 in a row to use on your card.  I had 10 entries and the winner for Day 2 is No. 9 - Maida!  She said, "Such a sweet card. Love the charm."

She used Pearls, Glitter, and Dry Embossing.  Lovely card.

Day 3 was our Christmas Critters.  You had to make a Christmas card and use a critter on it somewhere.  I had 10 entries and the winner for Day 3 is No. 10 - Sherry who said, "very pretty! love the angel!"  This is her card.
Very pretty Sherry.

Day 4 was Birds & Blooms day.  I had the most entries on this day - 13!  That's going to be a lucky number for someone, and that someone is No. 7 - Reny who said, "Very pretty!!!"  Here is her card.
Yes, it is very pretty!

And now for the grand prize that will be given to one lucky entrant who played in all four of the challenges and also posted on each one of my 4 challenges to be eligible.  The prize is this birthday set with stamps, paper, and all kinds of embellishments.
Now for the big winner of this prize.  There were 7 people who played in all 4 of my challenges and posted a card on the PSC blog and also commented on each of my blog posts.  The winner is No. 2 - Brandy!  I'm not going to post all of her comments and cards here, but if you want to check them out, hop on over to the blogs and find her at http://ibalady.blogspot.com

Congratulations to all the winners.  In my book though you are all winners.  You all did some fabulous work and I appreciate each of you commenting on my blog posts.  Stayed tuned though because in days to come, there will be more fun and more surprises.

I need each of the winners to contact me so that I can get their prize to them.  Send me your mailing information to schoener@sbcglobal.net.  You have one week to claim your prize.  If I don't hear from you by then, I'll randomly pick another entrant to be the winner.

Thanks again, and I hope you come back to visit real soon.
