Kitty Chorus

Happy Monday!  Today I have a fun card to share.  On Splitcoaststampers, one of the blogging groups I belong to is the Stamp Addicts.  Every month we have challenges.  I'm a little behind in getting those done. ;)  Our challenge is to CASE a card from one of the other members.  This one is from Darlene's blog.  She actually has a couple that would fit this card that I made.  Her cards are made with D. Morgan stamps. I've had this stamp for a long time and have never used it, so I thought it was about time to get it inky.

Isn't it cute!  Those cats were a lot of fun to color with my Copic markers.  The card itself was pretty easy to put together:

Materials Used:

Image - Kitty Chorus - Stamps Happen, Inc.
Sentiment - Stampin Up - Birthday Greetings
Cardstock - Xpress It Copic Blending paper; Stampin Up - Wild Wasabi
Ink:  Tuxedo Memento Black; Stamping Up - Pumpkin Pie
Designer Paper - Basic Gray - Archaic
Accessories:  Stampin Up - Early Espresso Baker's Twin; Brads from my stash
Copic Markers - B0000; C0, C1, C2, C3, C4, C5; E00, E01, E11, E13; E30, E31, E33, E34; R81; YG00, YG03, YG11

That's it!  I'm also submitting this card in the following challenges:
Amusing Challenges - Anything Goes
Penny Black and More - Cute
Stampalot - Happy Birthday

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment. I  do appreciate all of them and will return the comment on your blog  Have a fabulous week!

Amanda

Hello again my friends.  It's Wednesday and time for another Perfect Sentiment challenge.  I had a really hard time getting a good picture of this one, so forgive me if it's not so great.  I tried it on a white background and it just faded out the whole card so I had to tone it up a bit.

This week were were to design a card with any occasion sentiment we chose (must be on the front of the card).  The twist was to use this sketch.
I turned the sketch upside down for my card and after that, it pretty much went together very easily.
One of my granddaughters is having a birthday soon and she is a dancer.  She's been dancing ever since she was very little and she's finishing up her Freshman year in High School.  I've had this stamp for awhile and thought I'd finally ink it up and design a card for her.  I cut the image out and popped her up on the background mat which is from my new Cricut cartridge - Elegant Edges.  I was challenged by our leader - Jennipher to use this now that I had it.

Materials used for this card:
  • Image - Marci from La La Land Crafts; sentiment - Stampin Up - Year Round Cheer
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride; XPress It Copic Blending Paper
  • Designer Paper - Jodie Lee - Fairy Belle Collection
  • Ink - Memento London Fog; SU Blushing Bride
  • Cricut cartridge - Elegant Edges
  • Ribbon - SU Pretty in Pink Taffeta
  • Doily - Martha Stewart
  • Punches - 1 1/4" round, 1 1/2" round, Martha Stewart Butterfly
  • Roses - Wild Orchid Crafts
  • SU Dimensionals and SU pearls
  • Copic markers:  B000; E30, E31, E35, E37 for hair; E50, E51, E53 for skin; G20, G24; R00, R01, R20, and R30.
Our sponsor this week is Pattie's Creations and one lucky winner will win one digital image from her store.
Stop on by there and check out all her cute designs.

Now how about checking out the rest of the Design Team to see what they have created to inspire you.

Lolly Polly in Cocoa PSC28

Welcome to my blog!  Today is Wednesday so I've got another card for The Perfect Sentiment.  This week's challenge was to make a card with the sentiment that lets someone know you are thinking of them.  Of course, the sentiment must be on the front of the card.  The twist is that the card must be done using a Monochromatic color scheme - any color you like!
Isn't she darling!   The image is Lolly Polly from StitchyBear Digital Stamps and the sentiment is from Hero Arts - Thinking of You set. I decided to use Stampin Up Close to Cocoa as my color scheme.  The base of the card is Gina K. Designs 120# white cardstock.  I also used Stampin Up Whisper White.  The dp comes from an SU Pattern Pack.

The ribbon is Stampin Up Kraft Taffeta; Nestabilities Label 14 Dies; Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts; Martha Stewart Leaf Branch punch; Lacey Edge punch.

The image was colored using my Copic markers - B0000; E30, E31, E33, E35; E50, E51, E53, E55, and R29.

Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps and the prize if a $10 Gift Card to her store.

Charles' Pick Up

Hello my friends.  It's Tuesday again and I was able to put together a card for Teapot Tuesday.  It was a tough one for me - masculine - no flowers, no bows!  Is that possible?  Well, apparently it is.  I did come up with an idea that wasn't exactly what it was supposed to be, but I came pretty close except no tools.
Here are the challenges - use several shades of brown - check!  Use a number or letter on the card - check!  Communicate using a sentiment - check!  Use a grid or squares - check!  Try to use buttons or dials - check!  Be a repeater and use the same thing twice - Used the solid blue dp 2 times and also have 2 buttons - check!  Use a band of ribbon - no bows - check!  If you have a "Q" you'll be Queen of the Teaparty - check!  No extra cookies for tools though - just not in my stash of stamps.  I did add the dogs though.  Thought that might be a manly touch, plus isn't that Charles driving that truck!

Materials used:
c/s - Stampin Up Summer Sun; XPress It Blending paper
d/p - My Mind's Eye  - C'est La Vie (I think)
Ribbon - Stampin Up - Crushed Curry polka dot;
Sentiment - Q is a sticker and the rest is computer generated
Stamp - Stampin Up - Loads of Love and Accessories
Teabag - can't remember offhand where I got that
Metal embellishment  and buttons - from my stash

Don't ask me why I used Quip on this card.  I spent so much time trying to figure out a "Q" word to use and this one finally came to me and I found a cute poem about the word, so I printed that off and will include it with the card.  Too long to add here.

That's about it.  If you want to play along, check out this thread for Charles's mailing information.  To read his story about why we are sending him cards this week, read it HERE

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment.  I do appreciate them and I do try to reciprocate and visit your blog in return.  Have a blessed day.

Easter Blessings

I guess this is going to be the last Easter card that I make this year.  I've enjoyed them because it's Spring and Easter and there are all sorts of beautiful images out there to choose from.  The colors can be bright or soft.
This is one of those cards that doesn't end up as I first envisioned it.  The image is Milly Just for You from Lili of the Valley stamped on the Express It Copic Blending paper.  I looked through some of their inspiration cards and picked out 4 that I really liked and I thought would be good layouts for this image.  Well, I ended up not using any of them.  I had the MFT (My Favorite Things) Sketch 65 on my desk and decided that would be a great layout for this image.  I am a week late for the challenge, but oh well.

I used Stampin Up Confetti White cardstock for the base of the card and for the mats for the designer paper (First Edition - Summer Breeze) and also to stamp the sentiment on - Stampin Up Fancy Flexible Phrases which was stamped using Stampin Up Blue Sky and cut with the Nestabilities Nested Lacey Pennants.  I also used the Blue Sky cardstock for the doily which is cut using Nestabilities Lacey Circles.  The flowers are Primas from my stash as well as the lace, and the brads are from my stash.  The pearls are from Martha Stewart.

The Copics I used are B0000; BV0000; E50, E51, E53; G00, G12; N0; R20, R21, R22, R30; Y11, Y13, Y15; Y21, Y23, Y267; YR61, YR65.

I'm submitting this card for the following challenges:
The Outlawz Monday Greeting Challenge - Pastels
Paper Sundaes Challenge - Happy Easter
Bugaboo - Anything Goes
ABC DT Challenge - Anything Goes
CR84FN51 Challenge - Colors - Pink, Peach, Light Blue
Through the Craftroom Door - Butterfly

That's about it.  Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment.  I wish you all a very Happy Easter.

Emma and Friend

Hello!  It's Tuesday - well, it is as I'm typing this up.  ;)  That means it's another Teapot Tuesday.  Our card this week is going to a very special lady Alix, the daughter of a fellow SCSer/Teapotter, Elizabeth (I Love Rubber!) Alix needs some cheering up about now!  You can check out her story HERE.

Our challenge was to make a card using Pink, Black, and Silver and also to include a white dog on the card.  Why don't you check it out and join in the fun.
All my cardstock is from Stampin Up - Basic Black, Metallic Silver, and Regal Rose.  The image from Robyn's Fetish is Emma Without Butterflies and Puppy Paws which were printed from my computer onto Xpress It Blending paper and colored with my Copic markers.  The sentiment is from SU Fancy Flexible Phrases stamped with Regal Rose onto white and punched with the SU small oval punch.  I then matted it on a piece of the Metallic Silver punched with the SU large oval punch and popped up with Dimensionals.  The silver strip is edge embossed.  Sorry I don't know the name of it.  The gem in the upper right corner is from my stash.  The dew drops are from Robin's Nest - Silver Bells.  The flower is from Kaiser Craft.

The Copics I used are B0000 (shadow); E21, E25 E27 (bench); E50, E51, E53, R01 (skin); E21 (ground); G07, G14 (grass); R81, R83, R85 (dress); W1 (dog);  W2, W3, W5, W6 (shoes); Y21, Y23, Y26 (hair).

He is Risen - PSC26

Hi my friends.  It's Wednesday and time for another Perfect Sentiments challenge.  Only a few more days until Easter and this week we are celebrating with Easter cards.  The challenge this week is to create a card with a sentiment for Easter.  Remember that it must be on the front of the card.  The twist is to add some bling such as rhinestones or pearls. Here is my card.
The image is from Robyn's Fetish.  She has wonderful images in her shop.  Hop on over there and check it out.  Right now she has a sale 35% off her entire inventory.

The image is printed on Xpress It Copic blending paper and cut using the largest Nestabilities Label 18.  To make the mat, I traced around the image onto the Razzleberry and then trimmed around it.  The card base is Gina K Designs 120# white; the mats are Stampin Up Razzleberry and the leaves are punched from SU Kiwi Kiss.  The designer paper is from Memory Box - Sprout collection.  The doily is cut using My Favorite Things Dainty Doilies.  The sentiment is computer generated and the banner is hand cut.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are punched using the Martha Stewart Leaf Branch punch.

The Copics used are:  C0, C00; E0000; E000, YG0000, YG03, YG11, and YR27.

Of course we have a prize this week.  Robyn has 5 digi stamps as the giveaway for one lucky winner. How about heading over to the Perfect Sentiments challenge and check out the rest of the Design Team's creations:

Tossa for Colleen

Happy April Fool's Day!   Don't worry, none of my post is an April Fool's joke.  ;)  I'm told though that my grandson happily played some tricks on his mom and dad and his big sister this morning.  I'm sure that big sister figured out some way to pay him back.

On to my card.  Last week on The Outlawz site, we were told that it was Colleen Holmes birthday.  If you don't know, she is the creator of The Outlawz.  In order to honor her, it was suggested that for the Greeting Card Monday challenge, we should CASE one of two cards selected that Colleen has created.  She does great work.  Here is one of the cards made by Colleen.
This is the card that I chose to CASE.  I just love the image and colors she used.  Here is my card.
The image I used is one that I've used before but seemed so right for this occasion.  It's Tossa Birthday from Bildmalarna.  I love their images.  It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on XPress It Blending Paper.  The sentiment is Stampin Up Circle of Friendship.  I used a 1" punch to punch it out and then matted it with Stampin Up Pale Plum cardstock and used a 1 1/4" punch to punch it out.  After mounting the sentiment on the Pale Plum circle, I used my Deckle scissors to cut around the circle to give it a little texture.

I used Gina K Designs 120# cardstock for the base of the card.  The designer paper is Basic Gray Kioshi collection.  I used my Nestabilities Large Circle and Large Scallop Circle to cut out the image and the mat for the image, again using SU Pale Plum.  To finish it off, I used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts - Cherry Blossoms and Asters and punched out the leaves using Martha Stewart's Leaf Branch punch.  This one will get a really good workout.  I use it quite often.  In the upper right corner I placed 4 Dew Drops.  I also added some Diamond Glaze on the cake icing.

 The Copic markers I used to color the image were:  B0000, B00, B01; C1, C2; E18, E30, E40, E41; E50, E51, E53; R01; R14, R24; V01, V04; Y02, Y06, Y15, Y17, Y18, Y19, YG03, and YG11.

I'm also submitting this for the Oozak.com April challenge - Anything Goes.

That's it.  Hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments.  I do appreciate all of them.
