Christmas in Pink - PSC54

Merry Christmas!  Oh wait, it's not quite Christmas yet and a good thing because I haven't even started shopping yet and don't have all my cards done either.

If you were in Sandy's path, I sure hope that you came through it unscathed.  I pray for all those who didn't and had injuries or damages.  We went through Hurricane Ike down here just a few years ago and I know how terrible it can be.

Also, this is the end of the Perfect Sentiment Challenge Birthday Blog Hop.  I want to thank all of you of my Followers that participated.  I will be going through all the posts for the 4 challenges and matching them up with those that posted over on the PSC blog to see who is eligible to win one of my prizes.  I'll be posting the winners on Friday, November 2 as will PSC.  Good luck to all of you.

It's been so long since I've done a post for PSC.  Hope I remember how.  LOL!  To the business at hand.

This week our challenge is to create a card with the sentiment for Christmas and the TWIST is to use pink on your card in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, so "Think Pink for Christmas."

Our wonderful sponsor this month is Bugaboo stamps and the prize they are giving to our luky winner is 7, yes 7 free digis!  Wow!

I'm using one called SASJJornament for my card.  This was lots of fun to work with.

Materials Used:
  • Image - Bugaboo - see above
  • Sentiment - Waltzing Mouse - Nordic Winter
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up Bashful Blue, Pear Pizzazz, and Bravo Burgundy; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Pattern Paper - Basic Gray Eskimo Kisses, and My Mind's Eye Blush
  • White Opal Liquid Pearls for the trim on her dress; Stickles - Clear Rock Candy; Nestabilities - Classic Oval, Big Scalloped Ovals, and Nested Pennants; Flowers - Prima; Martha Stewart Fir Branch Punch;  Glitter Brads from my stash; Lace from my stash

Perfect Sentiment Challenge Blog Hop

This will remain at the top of my Blog until October 30 when the PSC Blog Hop officially closes.

To see my current posting, please scroll down to after this post.  Thank you.

We want all of you to have plenty of time to play along in all 4 of the challenges.  You can't link your Blog Hop cards here, you have to go to the Perfect Sentiment Challenge Blog and link you card up to the individual challenges listed there.
Don't forget that I am also having a Blog giveaway.  Four (4) lucky participants will one on stamp for each challenge that I posted.  You need to leave a comment on the particular challenge you are playing in and then link up your card on the Perfect Sentiment Challenge Blog for that particular challenge.  I will randomly pick one player from each day to win the prize.
I also have one Grand Prize to be randomly awarded to one player who participates in all 4 of the challenges that I've posted on my blog.  Since we're celebrated two (2) birthdays - PSC's and mine, I thought it appropriate to have a birthday prize.  All the items are birthday related.

I hope you all will come and have fun with us for this blog hop.  We are really trying to make it as easy as possible giving you 3 full weeks to link up your cards.  It's been great fun creating the cards that I did for this blog hop.  Hope to see yours soon.

Have a great week and thanks for coming back time after time and leaving your sweet comments.

BOO!

Hi everyone!  It's time for another Teapot Tuesday!  I haven't been able to play along for a few weeks, so I was thrilled that I had the time and the idea and ingredients to make a card to go with the challenge.

Let me tell you the story first.

This week our destination is Lexington, Kentucky. If you would like a destination for your card this week, how about sending it to Angelique?  Angelique went in for emergency surgery just before Labor Day. It was nothing life threatening but the surgeon ended up making a mistake during surgery which resulted in a second surgery. She ended up being in the hospital for three weeks and believe it or not, has at least one more surgery to go! How on earth did that happen?

She has a long road ahead of her and needless to say, needs a little teapotter love to get her through what lies ahead! Angelique is an artist and a professional editor by trade for the University of Kentucky. She loves to make crazy little bat girls out of paper and her Twitter name is Paperbatty. She loves Halloween and loves Spookey stuff! Here SCS friend's nickname for her is Batty or Battypants.

Angelique also has and simply loves chihuahuas. Hers are rescues and she has one that dances for her!  If you want to play along, the information is HERE.

The Challenge - Bring spooky, bring scary, bring spiders all hairy! Bring bats, witches hats, big ole black scary cats! Bring a carved pump-kin, bring those things that go bump-kin! Bring ghosties and goulies and Halloween goblins. Bring gnarly trees, bring trees without leaves! Bring all that is scary but more important than that, bring a Halloween Bat!  Bring a Halloween card! You guessed it! Bring all that is spookey! And one more thing, rumor has it that dancing chihuahua's are da bomb when it comes to a Halloween Teaparty! I have even heard they are the entertainment of choice for bats! Do any of you know any dancing chihuahua's you can bring along?

Given all that - here is my card for Angelique.
See, even the chihuahua is dressed up for Halloween and ready for Trick or Treating!

Materials Used:
  •  Images - Witch from Stampin Up Sweeter Treater; Bat from Stampin Up Halloween Night (really old retired); Chihuahua - Internet
  • Sentiment - imbeded into the design paper. ;)
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up Basic Black, Marvelous Magenta; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Design Paper - From my stash
  • Ink - Memento Black
  • Ribbon - from my stash
  • Scallop Edge scissors.

  • Copic Markers - BG11, BG15; E50, E51, E53; E57; V09, V15, V25; Y18, Y38, YR02, YR04; 0

There are four fun challenges planned for you that are being spread out over four days. One more day to go.  I hope you've been enjoying all the beautiful cards created by the DT.  We have sponsors who have donated generous prizes for each challenge and since we are doing this blog hop style, there are hidden prizes along the way. Our sponsor for today -Crafty City will award one lucky random winner a $5 gift voucher to be used in their store.  Plus, if you spend $25 or more they will throw in this 6x6 Paper Pad by Glitz Designs:

Regretfully, if you are a prize winner who lives outside of the United States, we will have to substitute your prize with a digital prize that can be sent via electronic mail. By the time we have to do the customs paperwork and everything associated with sending parcels out of the United States, it always costs more than what the prize is worth in most cases, and this includes Canada, unless you have a Post Office Box in the United States. APO and PPO box addresses are considered US. Thanks for your understanding.

Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what the team has in store for you!

Please note: for our anniversary/birthday celebration you may not combine our challenges. You must complete a separate card for each challenge. You are welcome to combine with challenges from other blogs and sites; however you must create a different project for each of our four challenges; and as always you may enter as many times as you like! Thanks for your understanding.

What a fabulous gift.  Now, get inspired and go create your own Christmas Critter card.  I can't wait to see what you come with.

Don't forget  in addition to the PSC celebration, I am also celebrating my one-year anniversary of my blog.  It's a little overdue since I started in July of last year.  October is also my birthday month, so this is so appropriate for me to also have a celebration.  So, drum roll please =============   For the PSC blog hop, I will personally be giving away a small stamp or stamp set each of the 4 days.  Here's a photo of what you could win.  If you play in any of the 4 challenges on my blog, in addition to linking up on the PSC challenge blog, please leave a comment on my blog that you were here and were inspired by my card.  That way I'll know who has played and who hasn't from my blog.

At the end of our blog hop, I will be awarding this Birthday Prize to one lucky winner who plays in all four of my card challenges that I will have posted here on my blog for each of the 4 days.

Thanks again to all of you my friends for coming by and leaving all your sweet, kind comments.  I really appreciate them.  I hope you'll play along and come back again tomorrow.
