Rainy Day - OSAAT #206

Good morning and it is since it is morning when I'm finally getting my blog post up.  Oops. Sorry. I had a busy day yesterday with working out in my flower beds pulling weeds.  Gosh, where do they all come from?????  ;)   It's a back breaking task, but has to be done.  I also bought some more plants to go in those beds, so as soon as my lawn guy gets over here and gets them planted, it will look very pretty.

I had great fun working on my card this time and had a blogging friend of mine in mind as I put it together.  She recently lost her mom to ALS, a dread disease. I actually know 2 other people who have lost loved ones to this disease.  I wanted to share in her sympathy, but also wanted it to be uplifting.
Here's a close up of the paper pieced umbrella.

Sunburst - OSAAT #204

Good morning!  Sorry about getting this up late.  After a stressful week, last night while I was taking my shower, my bathtub started to back up. Ick!  Lucky I was able to finish, but then got distracted from my blog post to trying to find a plumber to come out.  Couldn't get one for last night, but one should be here this morning sometime.  You know how it goes - they give you a window and you have no idea what time they'll show up.

On to my card. Our theme this week is Use a Digi.  I was a little daunted when I got the images for this post.  Could not for the life of me figure out what to do with it.  Then I remembered the Starburst technique and thought it would be perfect for it.  This one is pretty CAS.

Mr. Postman - Sunshine Mail

Hi friends.  Boy am I glad this week is over.  It's been rough.  Started out last Saturday with having my wallet stolen at my local grocery store.  Been trying to deal with an uncooperative assistant manager and the local police department to see if they could apprehend this crook.  What a nightmare trying to remember all the things that were in my wallet and what online accounts were attached to my debit card.  Luckily, I was not out anything, but a couple of banks were.

Then the other day I went to the orthopedist for a follow up to my knee injury back before Christmas and to check on an old upper arm injury.  Turns out I have bursitis in both places and the good doctor was only to happy to give me a couple of shots in both places to get rid of the pain, BUT I have pain now from the shots.  She did tell me that all the pain should go away in a few days.

You also know how much I love kitties. Well, I had a poor neglected and very sick kitty show up in my back yard last night and was able to quickly trap it and called the vet.  Unfortunately, it was too sick to save and we ended up having to euthanize it this morning.  Was not a happy time. I was glad that it found it's way into my yard  and that I was able to help it and put it out of its misery.  You could see that it had been neglected for some time.

You see why I'm glad to put this week behind me.

Now on to my card this week for Sunshine Mail Foundation.  I wasn't sure I was going to get this card made for the challenge with everything else that's been going on.
