Jenny's Flowers

Hello my friends!  A lot has been going on since I last posted. I was able to take a few days off work and travel to Provo, Utah to attend my grand daughter and her husband's commencement exercises at BYU. They are very blessed since they both have a great job and a cute little apartment. They are planning to stick around Provo for some time to come and eventually will go for their Masters.  After the graduation was all over, I went on to California to see my other grand daughter in her final High School Musical performance.  She graduates HS in June and then in the Fall will be off to the University of Utah where she was accepted into their Musical Theater program. She's very excited. That will leave my daughter and her husband as empty nesters!  Unreal that the girls are all grown up.

Luckily I took off on Monday so I was able to work on a couple DT cards that needed to get done this week.  Here is my card for this week's challenge over at Creative Knockouts - Our theme is Finish the Inside.  So you can make any kind of card you want, just as long as you decorate the inside of the card. I Know I'm Cute - OSAAT #236

Hi my friends and happy Sunday!  I hope that you are staying warm and dry.  It's the rainy season down here in H Town.  You know what they say - April Showers bring May Flowers!  If so, we should have an overabundance of blooms all over the State!  ;)

It was a busy day here. I started off by getting up early so I could get to the grocery store and home before it started to rain. Luckily it never did rain here today although it was all around us. My daughter who lives here in Texas came over for dinner with her family. My grand daughter who is in her first year of college decided some time ago that she was going to be a Vegetarian, so it's always hard for me to come up with new and exciting meals for when them come to dinner. Tonight I made a Vegetarian chili which turned out quite well. I'll get the hang of this soon enough.

Anyway, enough of that. Here is the card that I made for OSAAT this week and our theme is Anything Goes with Daughters/Girls.
Materials Used:
  • Image - Reeces Scrap Pieces - I Know I'm Cute

Flowers for Mom - CK #83

Hi my friends, and happy Thursday.  Well, for me and a lot of you, it's like Friday since tomorrow is Good Friday and a holiday!  So nice to get a 3-day work week.  I could use it to rest up a bit. I came down with I guess an allergy attack. Started out with the scratchy throat, then the sore throat and low grade fever, and then the runny nose.  That's the worst when your nose drips constantly like a leaky faucet. At least it seems to be running its course pretty quickly, so hopefully I'll be over it by the weekend.

Got Easter plans?  My sis is having all the family over to her house so I just have to fix something to take.

I'm getting a little ahead of myself with my card this week for Creative Knockouts. It's more for Mother's Day, but I guess the little guy could be taking flowers to Mom for Easter. It is Spring you know!

Our theme is Die Cut/Punch Frenzy, so let's see those die cuts and/or punches on your cards. Here is my card.

Victorian Tea

Hi my friends. I haven't played with Teapot Tuesday in a really long time and even this card is about 3 weeks on the late side. I've had it done for awhile, but just didn't have time to get it on my blog.  What is Teapot Tuesday you may ask?  Well, it's a challenge over on Splitcoaststampers and every week those who want to join in will make a card according to a theme and send it off to someone to cheer up their day.

Here is the link to the story. Of course there has to be a story.

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/teapot-tuesdays-f260/mmtpt345-~march-10-2015~-please-give-me-no-static-we-must-search-attic-t597341.html

And from there you can go to the link to get the address of the person to send the card to. But you don't have to send your card out if you don't want to. The challenge this time was Victorian. Here is my card.
